There are lots of reasons to come to live in this Community (although I would not want to). Some possible reasons are -

No natural disasters
No child abuse
No impoliteness
No disease
No job stress - all those decisions are made for you.
No competition for jobs
No clothing or fashion concerns - all those decisions are made for you.
No economic worries - all taken care of automatically.
There is equality for men and women.
And, food delivered right to your door!

Now, you will be reading a novel in class called "The Giver." You need to print a copy of it and have it available for class. Please read Chapters 1-4 before class.

I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: - 'We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal.'
